The PENTAR machinery plant in Horní Slavkov was established as early as in 1949. Ten years later it became a detached plant of the Litvínov chemical factory and gradually started to specialize in the manufacturing of pressure vessels and spare parts for chemical production. In 2012 PENTAR acquired a new division for supplying high-capacity storage tanks with complete fittings for petroleum, petroleum products and other chemicals.

Manufacturing Programme
The manufacturing programme of PENTAR includes high-capacity storage tanks with complete fittings for petroleum, petroleum products and other chemicals; the company also manufactures heat exchangers, reservoirs, tanks for railway and road traffic, containers, single-purpose production equipment, containers for solid and liquid waste, columns, coolers, heaters, condensers, washers, boilers, reactors, filters, vessels with internal rubberizing, spare parts for basic chemical and petrochemical production (bolts, flanges, piping, steel structures, machine parts). Basic Competencies of the Organization
- Performance of large engineering and technical activities in all areas of engineering and welding;
- Manufacturing of tested new pressure equipment certified according to the Directive of the European Parliament and Council 97/23/EC, Government Regulation No. 26/2003 Coll.; the company provides the design, calculations, manufacturing and testing;
- Repairs of dedicated pressure equipment according to Act No. 174/1968 Coll., the company provides the inspection before repair or reconstruction, documentation of the repair, manufacturing and testing;
- Manufacturing of rail tanks and containers designed for the transport of dangerous substances according to the RID regulation or for the transport of non-dangerous substances with pressure emptying; the company provides the design, calculations, manufacturing and testing;
- Certificate of the quality management system according to EN ISO 9001:2008;
- Quality control at welding according to ČSN EN ISO 3834-2;
- In the production there are normally processed carbon, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, including aluminium;
- Mechanical machining of material cutting on state-of-the-art NC and CNC machines.
